Clean and Simple

I am continuing to work through my AECP Level 1 Coursework.  Today's class was about creating a clean and simple card.  Several ways to create a clean and simple look.

The first card I made was to randomly stamp an image all over the card panel after stamping the sentiment in the center.  I once again used the Mini Delight Strength stamp set.  This set is small but mighty.  I heat embossed the feathers and the sentiment in black.  And I broke out the Altenew Watercolor Palette again.  After adding color to all the feathers I then added a little more water and paint to the watercolor brush and spattered bits of turquoise and orange all over the panel.

I really do like how this turned out.  Very simple but those pops of color really make a difference.

A little close up to show the colors and the spatter.

Now for the next card - the technique was a combination of luxury paper and foiling/metallic accents.

Navy glitter cardstock was the base layer.  I used the Altenew Wildflower Edge die.  I had created the green/navy layer with alcohol inks and used foiling once the inks had been laid down and moved around.  I had fun playing with alcohol inks and it was a great way to use my leftover negatives from previous foiling projects.

I added the embossed sentiment on vellum and fussy cut around it.  Then I put that on the navy glitter cardstock and fussy cut around that as well.  Super simple but I think it turned out so so pretty.

The image below you are able to see the foiled accents a little better.

Hope you enjoy these projects.
